David was born on November 30, 1968 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, New Jersey in 1986. He attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts and then, after his freshman year, transferred to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in acting. Shortly after college, David moved to New York City and started working professionally as an actor with appearances on various daytime soap operas. |
The actor joined the cast of the Young and the Restless as Sean Bridges in July 2001. Prior this this role, David's foray into daytime television included the roles of Christos on Guiding Light and Cop Rapist, Chip Rayburn, on Another World in 1991 and again in 1997.
David was then cast to play Frank Calfa on the MTV series "CATWALK" which was filmed in Toronto, Canada. After shooting 26 episodes the network was sued and the series was locked away never to be seen again. David moved back to New York and began pounding the pavement doing staged readings and auditioning for independent films eventually booking the role of Charlotte's boyfriend, "Prozac Kevin", on the HBO hit series "Sex and the City". David also showed his dancing prowess playing a police officer/stripper on "Spin City". David's primetime television series credits also include appearances on Six Feet Under, Boston Legal, Monk, Las Vegas, and most recently Blue Bloods. A move to Los Angeles, California led to many supporting and a few starring roles in the independent feature films: Nature Boy, Just One Time, All Over Me, Big City Blues, The Size of Watermelons, What Sunday Remembers, Cherry, The Fish In The Bathtub, The Deep End, and Shelter. In 2006, David left Los Angeles to return to his home state of New Jersey and proceeded to explore a plethora of careers and hobbies which have made use of his widely varied skills and interests, including becoming a Volunteer Firefighter, an EMT, an Emergency Room Critical Care Technician, and a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. His side projects usually involve carpentry, plumbing, painting, and construction. David has recently been working on numerous short stories and screenplay ideas and continues to audition for and pursue his love of acting in movies, prime time television shows, and independent film projects. David occasionally guest teaches at the Actor's Playground School of Acting in Freehold, New Jersey, and is available for private coaching for acting students. When David is not working, he enjoys sailing, surfing, camping, singing, photography, playing guitar, and riding motorcycles. |
